Our Sources Policy, In Short

Our sources policy matches source type to claim type. The manufacturer's order page can be the best source for today's package price while being a weak source for independent evidence of effectiveness. We don't use one source type to answer every kind of question.

Preferred Sources

• The official product page for current commercial facts (pricing, packages, guarantee terms)
• FDA and other regulatory sources for regulatory meaning and dietary supplement classification
• Peer-reviewed human research for clinical and ingredient-effectiveness questions
• Recognized clinical guidance for condition-specific information, such as BPH management
• Customer feedback, clearly labeled as illustrative or anecdotal rather than clinical evidence

What We Avoid

• Citation laundering — repeating a claim because another affiliate page cited it, without checking the original source
• Treating database indexing (such as appearing in PubMed) as automatic proof of a strong or conclusive study
• Turning a single ingredient study into proof that a specific finished product produces the same result
• Using search-result snippets as final evidence for an important health claim, without reading the full source
• Inventing a consensus from a small number of customer reviews or testimonials

Handling Conflicting Sources

When sources disagree — for example, when one saw palmetto trial shows a benefit and another shows no significant effect over placebo — we compare how current, direct, and independent each source is, and whether they're actually measuring the same outcome. Where real uncertainty remains after that comparison, we say so directly rather than picking whichever result sounds better.

Citation Proximity

Important health and commercial claims are supported near the relevant section of text, with a references list that lets readers inspect the underlying source themselves — not buried in a single, disconnected references page at the end. We prioritize primary product information, regulatory sources, peer-reviewed research, and recognized clinical guidance. Manufacturer claims are not treated as independent clinical evidence.
